Celebrate Grace
I write this “Grace Note” early on Easter morning in the Highlands of Scotland. This is a land of rugged, craggy mountains, surrounded by the crystal blue waters of the Sea of Hebrides. The land is an accurate reflection of the fierce spirit of the Scottish people.
I awoke to the sun peeking out around the mountains, reminding me that Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Today is the most glorious day of the year in Christianity. Today we celebrate grace — the immeasurable gift of God — given freely, out of love, to bring us salvation and new life through Christ. Death has been conquered once, for all, by the atoning blood of Jesus.
The Apostle Paul wrote to the believers in Corinth, encouraging them, “You were bought with a price…so then, honor and glorify God in your body.” (I Corinthians 6:20). May my body walk with confidence that I am a redeemed child of God. May I sing a song of gladness in my heart for God’s grace. May I embrace those around me to share this remarkable demonstration of grace and love from God.
Happy Easter! Bless you.
